Westy Self Storage Supports Senior Gala

Graduation for seniors in high school is a big event. Many high schools provide the graduates with fun graduation activities after the graduation ceremonies area over. Westy Self Storage in Upper Saddle River, New Jersey, is helping Ramsey High School with their upcoming senior gala by donating storage space for all of the gala materials.

The Ramsey High School Senior Gala is an amazing event. Parent volunteers serve on the committee. They started their planning back in October. Some of the event activities will include great food, dancing, entertainers, themed games, creative activities, prizes, contests, and movies.

Gwen Edwards, a gala volunteer, commented that the committee is very grateful to Westy Self Storage for donating a place where they can store their materials. It means a lot to them to have a clean and secure place to keep everything until the big day arrives.

Tim Mincin, Westy district director, is more than happy to assist with the senior gala. He feels that the gala is a wonderful activity where graduating students can have fun in a safe environment. He also said that his business takes pride in supporting the communities where they are located.

Westy’s dedication to support their local communities is evident in the activities in which they participate.  Here is just a small list of charitable activities they have supported:

Summit College Club book drive. Westy was a designated drop off location for the Summit College Club book drive. The proceeds from the drive provided scholarships for high school senior girls in the area.

Operation Santa Donation Drive. For this drive, Westy had a list of names of underprivileged kids at a local school. Community members picked up the children’s ‘Dear Santa’ letters, purchased the items on the wish list, and dropped them of at the self storage facility. Westy stored them until the toys were delivered to the children.

Share the Joy Foundation. Westy collected clean blankets, clothes, flashlights, non-perishable food, towels, and candles and sent them to the victims in Haiti after the devastating earthquake.

Eagle Scout support. Westy learned that a young man in the community was working on his Eagle Scout rank. His Eagle project was to collect and repair bicycles and then donate them to local charities and less fortunate individuals. Westy self storage donated three months of free rent where the young man could store and repair the bikes.
