Website Offers Free Premium Listing and Chance to Win iPad

Bringing together the power of internet technology and customers who want to rent self storage online is the goal of, a self-storage locator and rental search engine. The website is offering a free premium listing for 90 days to any self storage business that activates an account prior to the Inside Self Storage (ISS) World Expo on March 16, 2011.

Newly- activated members will also be entered into a drawing at the World Expo to win a 16GB, Wi-Fi and 3G iPad. Members do not need to be present to win. The premium listing on the search site includes facility logo, address, request information button, as well as a facility profile page which includes unit sizes, unit prices, unit types, amenities, specials/discounts, pictures, reviews, activity reports, a compare feature, a feature facility banner, and top results positioning. Self storage facilities will have the opportunity to take advantage of’s rental widget and get a unique tracking phone number. While registered with the website, a facility will have the ability to accept online rentals.

Unique to is their “Compare Facilities Feature” that allows renters to compare several facilities at once based on amenities, price, discounts and specials.  Facilities will also have the opportunity to appear as a “Featured Facility Banner” on the left side of the site’s web page. Facilities are selected randomly from the database to highlight and display in the featured section.

The ISS Expo in Las Vegas is the self storage industry’s largest conference and tradeshow including three days of educational seminars, networking opportunities and exhibits. The show will take place March 14-16 at the Paris Hotel & Resort.

One of the topics for the ISS Expo’s Roundtable Discussions on March 14 from 5:30-6:30 p.m., focuses on marketing tactics. The Roundtable Discussions offers self storage operators and managers one-on-one time with ISS education speakers, exhibitors and other industry professionals in an intimate setting.

Part of the ISS Expo educational series is “Creative Self-Storage Marketing: Real-Life Case Studies,” which features speakers Carl Touhey and Jason “Jay” Allen. Topics include e-mail drip and direct-mail campaigns.
