Want Some Help Getting Into Self Storage Auctions?

When you hear about some of the incredible—and valuable—finds that the people on shows like Storage Wars have had you have to wonder if you can do it too. Why not, right? Well—because it may not be as easy as it looks, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t. You just might need a little help to get started.

If you really want to try your hand at self storage auctions you could choose to go out on your own. Make a few bids; see if you can find the needle in the haystack. It is possible, but if you would like to be armed with a little more knowledge about the ins and outs of self storage auctions—and could use some seed money—there is a place you can find it.

StorageTreasures.com has been working with interested people to help them understand and be able to profit from auctions through their educational video series. In the videos Storage Wars veterans Dan And Laura Dotson use their knowledge and experience to help others make money in “stuffonomy.”

“The economy has been hard on so many families for so many years. So Laura and I wanted to create something that could enable people to make money in these hard times. This series is all about helping people learn a skill that can put food on the table and a few bucks in their pockets,” Dan Dotson said.

The videos have been available for about a year now. While it helps to be armed with the knowledge that the series provides there is one issue that can still derail the most prepared bidder—money. You can’t bid if you don’t have anything to bid with.

So now the site is offering people the chance to receive some start-up funding.

One StorageTreasures.com member, Shirley Bruce, has teamed up with the site to offer some needy auction goers’ funds to help them get started. After selling a vintage compact on Ebay for $800 Bruce decided she wanted to help others give auction bidding a try as well.

“Anyone can make it in the storage auction game by taking some time to study up and by being willing to jump in and take a chance,” said StorageTreasures.com President and Founder Lance Watkins. “The profit from Shirley Bruce’s Ebay sale could pay a lot of bills, fund future storage unit purchases or just fund a rainy day account. Her story is just one of many, and we love that she is paying it forward by helping another StorageTreasures.com member fund their own ProTraining education.”

Not everyone that applies will get it of course, but since it is basically free money how can you not try?
