Trachte Building Systems announced that Larry Pribyl has been hired as CFO for Trachte and its subsidiaries. Larry has a BA in Mathematics from Wabash College and an MBA from Minnesota State University. He has worked for General Electric, Honeywell, and Schneider Logistics. Most recently, he served as Director of Finance and Group Controller at Andersen Windows and Renewal. Trachte also hired Brandon Eichstadt to work in sales support and promoted Pat Jarman to the customer service department.
Trachte (pronounced Trock-tee) designs, manufactures, and erects pre-engineered and customized steel self-storage buildings. They are headquartered in Sun Prairie, Wisconsin, and are one of the largest manufacturers of steel buildings in the self storage industry.
They will design a preliminary site plan free of charge for self storage owners who are interested in their building system. Owners need only to send in a qualified land survey (which is a map that designates the boundaries of the property and the degreed angles and lengths), specify setback requirements, and indicate entrances. Then, Trachte will create a site plan and discuss different layout options.
They have recently added a new online parts quote system to their website. For self-storage businesses that use a Trachte building, owners and managers can simply go to Trachte’s webpage and enter in their request for parts. After customers enter in the necessary information and photos (when possible), a customer service representative locates the original file papers, prepares a repair quote, and then discusses the quote with the customer. This online process is fast and streamlined.
Trachte also holds free seminars. These seminars are geared toward entrepreneurs looking for a solid real estate investment, couples who are looking for a business, self-storage owners wanting to expand, and business owners looking to create a dependable second source of income.
Seminar topics covered include:
- Identifying and understanding demographics
- Evaluating local market
- Understanding the competition
- Finding a good location
- Understanding the building process
- Learning about permits and zoning boards
- Discussing common pitfalls and what can be done to avoid them
- Discussing construction, maintenance, and security
- Understanding staffing issues
Throughout 2013, there will be 14 free seminars across the United States and one in Calgary, Canada.
They also offer online educational videos that provide details and information that will help their customers make the best choice for their situation. The topics of the videos cover investigating the self storage industry, construction of the buildings, and developing a self storage business. Customers can even watch a video about how doors are made and one that tours the factory.
