South African self storage company Stor-Age was out in full force at Zando Cape Town 10s—Cape Town’s biggest sports and live-entertainment festival—to promote the Stor-Age Tshwane 10s, a sister tournament for which the company acts as title sponsor.
Founded in 2008 by three rugby legends, Zando Cape Town 10s started as a rugby-only tournament. It has since evolved into a multi-sport event that includes netball, beach volleyball and dodgeball.
“With four sporting codes, and some of South Africa’s finest live entertainment, and celebs and sporting heroes strutting their stuff on the sports field,” read the company’s blog, “it’s definitely not one you want to miss.”
Entertainment at the event included live performances from Me and Mr. Brown, The Kiffness, Kurt Darren and Francois van Coke. The performances were held, according to Stor-Age’s blog, “in South Africa’s biggest beer tent.”
Stor-Age employees promoted Tshwane 10s through prize giveaways. People were invited to roll the giant Tshwane 10s dice for their chance to win a beach bat set, a waterproof cell phone pouch, a handy drawstring backpack, a foam cushion that doubles as a beer tray or one month of free storage at Stor-Age Gardens.
Participants who took their photo with the Tshwane 10s logo and posted it to the Tshwane 10s website were entered into a Grand Prize drawing for a chance to win what promoters dubbed a “10s team experience.” The “experience” includes team entry in the sport of their choice, team kit, accommodation in Tshwane, food, and a bar tab for the winner and team mates.
Stor-Age Tshwane 10s is scheduled for October 28-29, 2017.
Stor-Age has 35 locations in South Africa and provides highly secure self storage units for both commercial and residential clients on a flexible lease basis.
