Self Storage Facility Helps Out the Local YMCA

The children of today are the future. If that future is going to look bright for all of us than it is necessary to make sure that anything and everything that can possibly be done to prepare them to be the future leaders of their communities, titans of industry, politicians, and whatever else they may wish to become.  The only problem is that while the children are being molded and guided into young adults, they may need some help to avoid the temptations that can lead them down the path to destruction.

That is where places like the YMCA come in hand. For more than 160 years the Young Men’s Christian Association has helped communities grow and thrive across the nation through a variety of different programs often offered for free or at minimal costs to the user. With that being the case, the YMCA has often had to count on the generosity of donors and corporate sponsors to remain afloat and continue the work that they do.

That is where companies like A-1 Self Storage come in hand. Recently the company announced that they would be a financial supporter to the Copley Family YMCA in San Diego, CA.

“A-1 Self Storage is proud to support the Copley Family YMCA”. said Brian Caster, President and CEO of A-1 Self Storage. “We believe it is important to support organizations that promote the betterment of self and build better communities.”

Getting involved in the community is something that A-1 Self Storage makes a concentrated effort to do. Last Christmas they worked hand in hand with the U.S. Marine Corps and their Toys for Tots drive be  being a drop-off spot for those interested in donating (at the 40 different self storage facilities in California).

A more recent event they sponsored was the Jackalope Inc. 2011 Spring Charity Golf Classic at the Cottonwood Golf Club in El Cajon,CA. Funds from that event, which A-1 Self Storage donated to, went to help different programs in the community.

The company also recently announced that it was going to support Father Joe’s Village, a non-for-profit organization dedicated to helping disadvantaged children reach their educational goals.

“A-1 Self Storage is proud to support Father Joe’s Village Scholarship Fund and our community by helping raise awareness. Homeless students face extraordinary challenges and obstacles, and we feel that one of the best ways to encourage and support students challenged by adversity is by removing one of the biggest barriers-money” said Caster. “We believe it is important to support organizations that promote the betterment of students and promote healthy living.”
