Self Storage Company Wants to Know If You’d Like to Go For a Ride

There are certain things that people think about doing more when the weather begins to warm up; things like spring cleaning and going outside. After being trapped by winter for months who doesn’t want to clean start for spring and fresh air? A self storage company in the United Kingdom want to help you do both.

The general purpose of a self storage facility is to provide people with the space they are missing—the perfect thing to assist in spring cleaning efforts. While you would have to go outside in order to travel to the facility of your choosing and unpack, Scott Self Storage wants to help you get out a little more.

It wants to invite you to take a ride with them.

Scott Self Storage is hosting the fourth annual Cycle the Solway event on July 17 in order to help raise money for Carlisle’s Eden Valley Hospice.

Stephen Scott, managing director of Scott Self Storage said, “This is a great opportunity for a good day out on a bike…This is an opportunity to raise money for a really worthwhile cause and have an enjoyable day out at the same time.”

Some people may balk at the notion of participating in a charity bike ride—those things are long! The organizers of this even have taken that fear in to consideration by developing three different routes depending on how ambitious a rider feels. The three routes will be 100km, 50 km, and 25 km long.

Participate in the ride and Scott Self Storage will actually be able to help people do three things they often like to do: spring cleaning, get out doors, and give to charity.

Andrew Maddison, Eden Valley Hospice marketing officer said, “Whatever reason people take part in the event, they are all helping to make a huge difference to the lives of local adults and children with life limiting illnesses.”

Scott Self Storage is not the only facility that likes to get involved in a bike ride for charity. Last May the good people at MyWay Mobile Self Storage in Maryland participated in and helped sponsor an American Diabetes Association’s Tour de Cure ride.

“The Tour de Cure is a cycling event that requires the movement and storage of many large event items in order to have things run properly and smoothly. MyWay Mobile Storage was the key to our transportation and storage success once again this year,” said Ali Tighe, American Diabetes Association Manager of Special Events and Fundraising.
