Self Storage Company Want to Know if You Are Ready for Some Football

It’s a happy time in the United States—the teams of the NFL have started to open up training camp. The Hall of Fame Game is right around the corner which means it will not be long before some familiar faces will be asking fans on Monday night if they are ready for some football. However, fans in Canada don’t have to wait and a self storage company wants to send them to a game.

The Canadian Football League starts playing its 18-game regular season in late June with the Grey Cup (Canada’s version of the Super Bowl) being played in November. This season it happens to be on Thanksgiving Day. As a way of saying thanks to their customers Storage Mart wants to send a few people to watch the Toronto Argonauts play the Edmonton Eskimos on August 18.

All people have to do in order to enter is go to StorageMart’s official Twitter page and retweet a post that talks about the ticket giveaway.

This will likely be a game that fans will be excited to see since it features last season’s Grey Cup champions, the Argonauts. After four weeks the team is on top of the East Division with a record of 2-2; Edmonton is at the bottom of a tough West Division at 1-3.

While the match-up may not be a great one fans will love to get free tickets to see the defending champions play—and all they have to do is hit the ‘retweet’ symbol on the appropriate post.

Using social media to promote the company and its endeavors is not something that is foreign to StorageMart. During the months of March and April the company challenged people to pin the Pin for a Cure image on the site to a Pinterest board. For every pin the company agreed to donate a dollar to the Muscular Dystrophy Association up to $5000

“We are so very fortunate to have the support of StorageMart. They are true friends of our community and the families served by the MDA,” stated Patti Butera, Area Director, MDA.

Supporting sports teams is nothing new for a StorageMart facility. In May the Chicago facility asked baseball fans which team was better, the White Sox or Cubs. For every vote the facility agreed to donate $1 to Open Books.

In the end they got 464 votes (meaning a $464 donation). Oh—and the best team in Chicago according to the fans that responded is the Cubbies (by a slim 51-49 percent vote).
