Self Storage Company Plans Amazing Party and Wants to do Amazing Things

There are all sorts of ways to measure success. In school people will often look to grades as an indicator. On the athletic field championships or personal accolades can be a measure of success. In the business realm many people will look at the bottom line, but for a more long term measure like longevity can be a better indicator.

Businesses—self storage or otherwise—can all be profitable in the short term, but that doesn’t always mean that they will remain that way for years to come. So when a business is able to generate enough revenue to remain active for years it is something worth celebrating.

Amazing Spaces, a self storage company in the Houston, Texas, area, understands this and that is why they are throwing a party on Thursday, May 16, to celebrate 15 years of being in business.

The facility will be inviting customers and supporters in the community to their facility near the Medical Center for what they are billing as an anniversary event. Along with their celebrating their success over the years they are also going to be taking the opportunity to raise more money for the Shriners Hospital for Children in Houston.

“We were truly amazed at the innovative work the hospital does and by the level of care that the hospital gives so that child is surrounded by compassion and put at ease,” says Kathy Tautenhahn, Vice President of Amazing Spaces.

To raise money there will be an auction inspired by Storage Wars along with a raffle. Four lucky winners will each get one-year of free storage at any of the four Amazing Spaces locations.

Celebrations are not uncommon in the self storage industry. Business anniversaries are a common reason, but people will also look to celebrate recognition such as being featured on the reality television show Storage Wars as sufficient cause for a party.

Access Self Storage in Lancaster, Texas, did just that during the recent Holiday Season when their facility was featured on an episode of Storage Wars: Texas. To mark the event the facility has a viewing party at a local Mexican restaurant.

Like Amazing Spaces, the good people at Access Self Storage wanted to do more than just celebrate their success. They requested that party-goers bring a new toy with all donations going to the Lancaster Outreach Center.

“We decided we could take a big success for us and use it to help out our community,” said  facility owner Doug Hunt.
