Did you ever have a hard time when you were ‘it’ playing hide and go seek as a kid? Did you have trouble finding people? Was it difficult for you to figure out where to find people? Did it leave you feeling lost at times and a little frustrated when another round of the game started up and you were still it?

Searching for what you want is not always an easy task. These days there are often many—too many—options to choose from. Sometimes they are quite different and other times they are all roughly the same. Either way the search for the one that is just right for you can be pretty exasperating!

That can be especially true in the self storage industry. There are right around 50,000 self storage facilities across the nation. When it comes time to find one in the area you need the search can be hard with all the choices there are.

That is why some enterprising individuals came up with self storage aggregators—basically online directories for self storage facilities. The recent surge in popularity and success in the industry has given rise to a number of self storage aggregators over the last few years especially location specific ones like and

One self storage aggregator has been in operation for some time; in fact, this month it is celebrating its seventh birthday—

“We provide a one-of-a-kind service that fills a real consumer need,” site founder Jason Kay says. “That is really all we could ask for, and as such, we are grateful to the site users who have supported us over these last seven years.”

According to the company’s website, was the first all-purpose stop for those who had all kinds of storage needs. The site did not just locate self storage units for people, but also helped them find storage for their cars, boats, recreational vehicles and even portable storage units.

It can also help you find a moving company and labor to help you move (if needed).

“…The need for a self-storage unit can arise both urgently and unexpectedly, and it is important for consumers to know where they can find good, affordably-priced units…,” said Kay.

On the World Wide Web, where internet based businesses come and go all the time, lasting seven years is quite an accomplishment, but when you provide the right kind of service it should come as no surprise at all.
