The Texas Self Storage Association announced that Bill Rancic will be the opening session speaker at their annual conference on October 27 – 29. While the conference is three months away, you might want to put this event on your calendar and sign up now. Listening to and learning from Rancic will definitely be worth your time and the cost of the conference.
Almost ten years ago, Bill Rancic was on the TV show The Apprentice. The first season of the show was a smash hit with an average of 20.7 million viewers each week. It was the most popular new show of 2004. Donald Trump was the executive producer and the show’s host.
The premise of the show was that participants were divided into two ‘corporations.’ Each week, Trump gave them a task. At the end of the week, the winning team got a reward while the losers faced a showdown with Trump and two of his associates to determine which team member would be ‘fired.’ Rancic was the show’s winner and was then hired by Trump.
Rancic is currently involved with real estate development. He has produced and starred in the A&E series “We Mean Business” where his team shows business owners how to reduce expenses, increase profits, limit liabilities, and implement new technologies.
Rancic wrote the New York Times best-selling book Beyond the Lemonade Stand. His goal with this book was to educate and motivate young people worldwide about the value of money and how to leverage skills, talents, and abilities at an early age. (All proceeds from this book go to charity.) He also wrote the New York Times best-selling book You’re Hired: How to Succeed in Business and Life. This book chronicles his successful life, experience, and proven advice.
As a speaker, Rancic discusses the challenges that individuals face and applies them to the corporate arena. He discusses things such as working professional relationships and surviving the daily ethical challenges in business. His keynote session at the TSSA conference will be on Monday, October 28.
The TSSA conference will kick off on Sunday October 27 with a charity Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament. Monies from the tournament will go to the Shriners Hospital for Children that is in Galveston.
Education sessions will be held on October 28 and 29. There will be two educational tracks for owner attendees. Topics will cover emerging trends, operations and management, sales, marketing, and technology. There will also be short, quick, how-to tech talks covering Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook.
Those wishing to attend may register online at www.txssa.org or by calling (888) 259-4902.
