Two self storage facilities in Wyoming will be holding their second annual garage sale and raffle. Walsh Drive Storage in Casper and Interstate Storage Solutions in Evansville are sponsoring this event as a fund raiser for the Youth Crisis Center (YCC). Last year their garage sale raised $5,000. They want to raise $6,000 this year.

The garage sale will be held on June 9th.  The hours for the sale at the Walsh Drive Self Storage are 8:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. At Interstate Storage Solution, the hours will be from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Those interested in participating can rent a table for $25 (with 100% of the proceeds going to the YCC).  Admission to the event is only $1 and each adult will get one free raffle ticket. Additional raffle tickets are available.

Three prizes will be raffled: a fly fishing trip, a spa package, and a family package that includes dinner, movies, and a year-long science zone pass. Cupcake a Go Go will be selling cupcakes and donating 50% of her sales. There will also be door prizes in addition to face painting and games for children. Lunch will also be available. In Louisiana, Storage Post Self Storage has added a new facility in Kenner to its holdings. It has climate-controlled units and offers vehicle storage. Storage Post will act as third-party management and handle the marketing initiatives, point-of-sale materials, and website and social media integration.

“Storage Post is designed to operate with maximum efficiency, from our search engine optimization and technology to our expertly-trained staff and experienced marketing team,” said Dylan Delaune, Storage Post Chief Investments Officer. “We’re confident that we can provide exceptional value to the owner using our philosophy of Operational Excellence.”

In England, Kelly’s Self-Storage, based in Guildford which is 27 miles southwest of London, will be holding a fun run to raise money for ReachOut Plus. ReachOut Plus is a charitable organization that works with disabled and disadvantaged people.

The five or ten kilometer run will be held on June 24. Participants can enter as individuals or as a team.  The first place prize is a canal boat trip for 12 people.

Moira Martin, director of Kelly’s Self Storage, indicated her storage business is thriving. She said that in turn she wanted to do something to support the community where their facility was located. They selected ReachOut Plus because that charitable organization was the type of cause that they were passionate about supporting.

Ron Overton, CEO of ReachOut Plus, said that even though they have been established for over 30 years they wanted to raise the community’s awareness of their organization. He felt that the fun run would allow them to do that.
