Attending national industry conferences is one of the best ways to stay current with what is happening in the self storage industry and to network with others. Sometimes, however, travel expenses can get pretty costly and that could prohibit people from attending. Good news for those on the west coast! A new tri-state conference will be held in the fall that is well within everyone’s budget.
The leaders in the California, Arizona, and Nevada Self Storage have put together the first tri-state conference that will be held at the Golden Nugget on October 16-17 in Laughlin, Nevada. Registration is only $99. (That’s affordable.) Room rates start at $35. (Those prices are very affordable!)
“Great self-storage educational and networking opportunities are hard to come by and often far away, especially for businesses located outside of the largest cities,” said AZSA Executive Director Anne Mari DeCoster. “That’s why the state self-storage associations of Arizona, California and Nevada are enthusiastic about our first venture together.”
“We are thrilled to be part of this event with the AZSA and NVSSA,” says Erin King, the CSSA’s Executive Director. “To be able to bring the three states together for meaningful educational sessions as well as an opportunity to network on a grander scale is really terrific. Owners and managers in the surrounding areas should not miss it!”
“The Nevada Self Storage Association is committed to growing membership and supporting the needs of the self-storage industry in Nevada,” says Michelle Watson, president of the NVSSA. “We believe that the Tri-State Conference will ultimately be seen as a great example of true collaboration! Working closely with our neighbors in California and Arizona we are able to bring the educational venue to the river in Laughlin, Nevada. “
This conference will be like the national self storage conference in that it will focus on the topics and concerns that owners and managers in the self storage industry have. Topics covered will include operations management, legal concerns, investments, and financial challenges.
Some of the event speakers include Carol Krendl (owner of SkilCheck Services), Jeff Greenberger, Esq. (from SelfStorageLegal.com), and Bob Hayworth (CEO of Baja Construction). Event sponsors Chateau, OpenTech Alliance, and MiniCo Insurance Agency LLC will lead roundtables.
To top things off, one lucky attendee will win tickets to attend country singer Toby Keith’s performance in Laughlin. Keith is on his “Shut Up and Hold On” tour in the United States.
