Manhattan Mini Storage Holds New Contest

People probably know Manhattan Mini Storage by their ads. The self storage ads are sometimes sometimes snarky, sometimes controversial politically and culturally. Some have attacked people like Paris Hilton, President George W. Bush, and Michelle Bachmann.

Always ‘thinking like a New Yorker,’ Manhattan Mini Storage has come up with a new sweepstakes contest that will appeal to hip New Yorkers. They teamed up with Hipstermaid for the contest where the winner gets the prize of a lifetime: free storage and cleaning for an entire year!

Stacy Stuart, Executive Vice President of Marketing and Human Resources at Edison Properties, the parent company of Manhattan Mini Storage, explained the genesis of the contest: “We were trying to think what would be a typical New Yorker’s dream come true. And we realized the only thing better than coming home to a neat, organized apartment, with all your extra stuff safely stored away, would be to also have your apartment professionally cleaned. Hipstermaid was an obvious partner, because in addition to being great at what they do, they have a hip, fun attitude and sense of humor – just like us.”

“Space is tight in NYC, and you can’t have a real party with five broken down bikes crowding your dance floor,” adds Cathy Tang, Hipstermaid Co-Founder and CEO. “That’s why we’re thrilled to partner with Manhattan Mini Storage. Cleaner apartment, more space, more dancing. Win-win-win!”

The contest runs from now through December 2, 2013. Anyone can enter. People just have to do is like the Facebook page. The winner gets free rent on a Manhattan Mini Storage room for a year plus Hipstermaid cleaning service every month for 12 months.

Hipstermaid is a home cleaning startup. They use eco-friendly, ‘hipster-certified’ supplies that smell ‘like angels dipped in awesome.’ (Can’t say that I’ve smelled an angel lately, but that description sounds like the cleanest of clean and best smell on earth.)

Hipstermaid makes it easy to book their cleaning services. Customers merely go to Hipstermaid’s website, enter home size, address, time of day, and payment details. No back and forth texting or e-mails.

One feature that is especially attractive to customers is the prices and tipping. Hipstermaid has flat prices dependent on the size of the home. As for tips, customers simply rate the cleaners and Hipstermaids takes care of the tipping.

Manhattan Mini Storage is family-owned and has been in business over 40 years. They have 17 locations in Manhattan with over 200,000 customers (some that are TV celebrities or popular singers). Several of their facilities are open 24 hours a day.
