How Bad Do You Want to Surprise Your Family for Christmas?

Part of the joy of Christmas for many is the happiness that they see on the faces of their family members Christmas morning when it is time to finally open presents. After weeks and in some cases months you can finally see how glad your family is to receive the gifts you bought for them. That is, if they didn’t find what you got for them wherever you hid it in the house.

If they are good at acting you’ll never know. However, in the case that they are not good actors it’s kind of a bummer. You spent all this time shopping for the right gift and searching for the perfect present not to mention the effort that went into hiding them—and it was all worthless.

But what if it didn’t have to be? What if there was a way to make sure that your loved ones did not have a clue what you got them for Christmas? Would you be willing to spend a little money to know they would be completely surprised Christmas morning?

Then check out your local self storage facility!

It is not unusual for self storage companies to run Santa’s secret helper or Elf storage deals. For a reasonable price you can rent a small self storage unit to hide your gifts in.

The Lock Up is running just such a special from November 22 through the end of the year. For one month you can get the perfect spot to keep curious eyes from finding out what is in the boxes under the tree.

“Between shopping for gifts, hosting events in the home or office and possibly having out of town guests staying under the roof, one is bound to feel overwhelmed. One of the best ways to alleviate that is to create some breathing room in the form or more open space! Don’t worry about finding the perfect hiding place for gifts, or where to push aside a room full of furniture to create space for the big party. Let The Lock Up be the simple storage solution,” says Andrea Carnes, Vice President of Operations for The Lock Up Self Storage.

Some self storage facilities like to do more than just help you hide your presents. If you have to take them home to be wrapped than prying eyes can still sneak a peek. To keep that from happening for their customers Price Self Storage in California will have wrapping stations set up on site.

“This is the third year we’ve provided a place for tenants and the public to come and wrap their holiday gifts”, says Kelly McClenahan, Marketing and Creative Manager for Price Self Storage. “People seem to really appreciate the extra wrapping space and ability to secretly wrap their gifts away from the prying eyes of kids and loved ones.”
