Gotham Mini Storage Opens Another Facility

Posted on Dec 24 2012 - 4:05pm by Kim Kilpatrick

Gotham Mini Storage opened its newest facility in Manhattan. It is conveniently locate close to Broadway, Times Square, and Hell’s Kitchen.  The property is shared with DHL.

The seven-story building has 2 million square feet for storage. There are 2,000 storage units ranging in size from 4’x 4’ lockers up to 80’ X 20’ extra-large units — many with extra tall 11-foot high ceilings. All units can be customized with shelves, lights, and clothing racks.

The facility features competitively priced state of the art climate control (heated in the winter and cooled in the summer) units. It offers concierge services, temperature controlled wine storage, custom-built storage lockers, long-term vehicle storage, and shuttle services.  There are also humidity controlled storage units for those needing to store antiques.

The building has a newly renovated and extra-large elevator. The hallways are so spacious that they feel more like a living room than a storage building. There are over 100 security cameras placed strategically around the facility. The facility’s office will have a coffee bar and a working space with technology for renters to use.

The facility will hold a grand opening party on January 15, 2013. Food and beverages will be served. Several door prizes will be raffled. Tours of the facility will be conducted. Businesses owners and members of the local community are invited to attend.

Jack Guttman and Steve Schwartz, two of New York City’s most experienced storage self storage developers, built Gotham Mini Storage. They are very pleased with this new facility because it is one of the most exciting projects to date for them. They feel that this facility fills an unmet need for the surrounding area.

Guttman is a New York based real estate developer who has specialized in the self storage business for over 15 years. He is also part owner in one of Manhattan’s largest fine art storage and transportation companies

Schwartz is also a New York based real estate developer. He co-founded a firm that specializes in the development, acquisition, and management of self storage facilities and currently operates 1.5 million square feet of storage.

At this time, I would like to extend to all of you the warmest of holiday wishes. I hope that your Christmas is trimmed with all of the joy of the season and that you have a bright and prosperous New Year.

Merry Christmas!
