Extra Attic Mini Storage recently announced the grand opening of a new expansion at its facility in Richmond, Virginia. It will be held at 4825 Bethlehem Road on Saturday, August 30 from 10:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. Members of the community are invited to attend.

The day’s festivities include free drinks, snacks, and ice cream for those in attendance. Guests can also tour the new facility and take a few minutes to meet the staff to learn about the services that Extra Attic has to offer.

“We are extremely excited to expand our facility, because we want to address the needs of the growing community in the area,” said Facility Manager Laurie Kriigel. “Our large-sized units are always sold out, so we came up with a plan to accommodate more customers.”

The expansion has 10,600 square feet of rentable space. The 35 enclosed storage units have 150 square feet. The facility also has a loading dock with two 8’ x 10’ electric roll-up doors.

The addition has an advanced lighting system with energy-efficient daylight fixtures. It also has an energy-efficient heating unit, camera surveillance, and two large ventilation fans that will keep the temperature at a comfortable level during the summer.

An electronic keypad controls the gated customer access. As an extra security feature, the on-site manager can monitor the keypad and see what is happening at the gate. This will give customers peace of mind knowing that their belongings are being kept safe.

Founded in 1979, the family-owned company is based in the Richmond, Virginia, metropolitan area. The company has four single-story facilities and each one has climate controlled units, an on-site manager, and is accessible to all sizes of vehicles—even tractor trailers. The facilities are easily accessible from nearby major roads.

Each facility sells moving and packing supplies. They can accommodate a customer with just a few boxes or someone who needs to pack up an entire household.

For small business entrepreneurs, Extra Attic accepts package delivery from UPS and Ground FedEx. This means that businessmen do not have to wait around for a package to be delivered. The self storage staff will accept and sign for the package for them.

Extra Attic Mini Storage is pleased with their expansion and looks forward to better serving the community by helping customers find the right self storage unit based on their needs and budget.
