The great majority of items stored in self storage facility include things such as beds, tables, chairs, desks, lamps, washers, dryers, clothes, knick-knacks, and various other odds and ends. However some facilities, such as Classic Wine Storage & Services, specialize in specialty storage such as storing wine.

Classic has two wine self storage facilities and just announced it will open their third facility in North Texas at 2915 Riverglen Drive, just south of the Hulen Bridge in Fort Worth. Their grand opening will be an invitational event on Tuesday, May 21. Individual tours and consultations are available by calling 817-42-0348.

Terry Perkins, co-owner, emphasized that Classic is dedicated to ideal secure storage conditions that encourage optimal aging and enduring quality over the long term.

“Your wine is our business,” said Mr. Perkins. “We take the worry out of wine storage and provide a complement of services to help you grow, manage, and enjoy your collection.”

Mark Nelson, also co-founder, emphasized that Classic is dedicated to the ideal secure self storage conditions for wine. “For many collectors, in-home cellars are impossible or impractical; we make out-of-home wine storage secure, safe, convenient, and seamless,” said Mr. Nelson.

Classic has grown dramatically after the launch of each facility. The company’s first facility originally had 4,500 square feet in 2006. They have since added more space to the building so it now has 7,700 square feet. Their second location opened in Dallas in 2011. It has over 10,300 square feet.  Their new facility in Fort Worth has two stories with over 16,000 square feet. It also has a private access to the second story solely for walk-in locker clients.

All facilities have a private room available for special gatherings.

Classic has customized storage for their customers that include racks, cases, and walk-in lockers. For those who keep the bulk of their wine collection in a wine storage facility and a small supply at home, Classic guides clients in selecting the storage options that work best in the client’s individual situation.

They also have an inventory management service that helps clients know what they have in storage, what they have in their home, the wines’ optimal drink-by date, and inspection of bottles for any label or cork issues. They also offer bar-coding for their clients.

Classic offers moving services – whether down the street or across the country. They provide refrigerated transportation and will pack and unpack your precious wine cargo.
